BABY DRESSER CARD

I made a baby card for my hair-dresser today.  She has been on maternity leave since February; and I REALLY missed her!!  I have an appointment tomorrow and I am very excited to see her.  Here is the card I made for her.   Her little girl's name is Bergit...named after her great-grandmother.

It is a side dresser card I cased for Jan Topa.  I "quilted" the side baby quilt and put a "B" on it for Bergit or Baby!  Here is the inside of  the card:

The birthday card I made is showcasing the soon to be retired "in-colors" from 2010-2012.  The colors retiring are:  Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, and Concord Crush.  Before stamping the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment, I colored each word with a different retiring in-color marker.   The retiring punch used was the "Doily Triple Layer" punch.  In the center of each doily is the matching retiring in-color glimmer brad.  The final retiring products used on this card are the satin Old Olive ribbon that is tucked behind the sentiment, and the stamp set entitled, "Happiest Birthday Wishes".

Baby girl "dresser" card                              Big girl "lion" birthday card

    DRESSER CARD

This dresser card I had made back in January.  I had seen pictures of different dresser cards on the internet, and LOVED them.  I decided to try and make one of my own; and this is what I came up with.  If you would like the dimensions of the card check out my January 24th  post; it is listed there.

    LION BIRTHDAY CARD

Isn't this Lion the cutest??  I 'found' this guy on a different card on pinterest.com.  I cased this card from Patti Corriere.  I thought he was so darling, I HAD to make a card with him on it.  Here are the materials I used to make the card:

Blossom punch                                        Melon Mambo Ink and grosgrain dotted ribbon
Cheerful Treat DSP                                 "Happiest Birthday Wished" stamp set
1 1/4" circle punch                                    glitter brads
3/4" circle punch                                       Whisper White cardstock
    3/8" circle punch
    cupcake punch (eyes)
    label punch (feet)

The card I made for this challenge is below.  I tried a new folding technique I just learned called the "teabag" folding technique.  It is quite quick and simple and I LOVE the look of the 'medallion' you end up with when you put the 8 pieces of paper together.
